Kelly Kerrigan
I'm a trauma therapist specializing in developmental and attachment trauma, as well as the cumulative toll of high-demand work — including the unique stressors first responders carry. Whether your wounds began in childhood or built up over years on the job, I use EMDR, EMDR 2.0, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy to treat trauma at its root, not just manage symptoms.
First session
I like to utilize the first session to become acquainted, gather information in an organic fashion, allow you know our work can feel safe, understand further what you want to work through and how you want to feel at the other end of the work.
Strengths
I'm steady, direct, and genuinely comfortable with intensity. My background as a co-responder means nothing you bring to session will overwhelm me. I'm trained in EMDR and specialize in trauma, so we won't just talk about what happened, we'll process it. Clients tell me I'm warm but honest, I won't let you stay stuck.
Ideal clients
I work best with adults who are high functioning on the outside, first responders, professionals in demanding careers, or those who learned early in life to hold it all together, but who are carrying old wounds, chronic stress, or experiences they've never fully processed. Whether this is your first time in therapy or you've been down this road before, if you're ready to understand why you feel the way you do and actually heal it , not just cope with it we'll likely be a good fit.
