LCSW, 12 years of experience
Hi, I’m Samantha! I’ve been a clinician for over twelve years, and I genuinely love this work. My passion lies in helping clients tap into their strengths, navigate challenges, and create meaningful change in their lives. Over the years, I’ve worked with people of all ages in schools, juvenile justice, and long-term care—experiences that have given me a deep appreciation for the resilience of the human spirit. As a mom, I understand firsthand how life can be both beautifully rewarding and incredibly overwhelming. I bring that perspective into my sessions—combining compassion, curiosity, and a sense of humor with a down-to-earth, real-world approach. Outside of my practice, I enjoy listening to audiobooks, organizing (yes, it’s my version of therapy!), and spending time with my family. Fun fact: I have a degree in Philosophy and even studied Japanese in high school!
In our first session, we’ll go over the information you shared in your intake paperwork and any initial assessments. From there, we’ll start mapping out both your short- and long-term goals for therapy. More importantly, we’ll begin building a safe and supportive connection—so you feel grounded, heard, and encouraged as we begin the journey together. My hope is that you leave our first session with a sense of relief, clarity, and confidence about what’s ahead.
One of my greatest strengths is my ability to meet clients exactly where they are—with empathy, honesty, and genuine understanding. Life is complex and constantly shifting, and I believe therapy should be a space where you can show up fully as yourself—no judgment, just support. I specialize in helping women navigate some of life’s most tender and challenging seasons, including: Postpartum challenges and maternal mental health Infertility, pregnancy, and preparation for labor/delivery Anxiety, depression, and mood changes Grief and loss Divorce, co-parenting, and relationship transitions Identity exploration, career concerns, and major life changes My goal is always to offer a grounded, compassionate space where growth and healing feel possible.
I specialize in working with women navigating the challenges of life and motherhood, including those experiencing postpartum depression or anxiety, as well as those seeking support during pregnancy or preparing for labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. I also work with clients dealing with general anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity exploration, or grief and loss. **At this time, I am only accepting clients who identify as female and are age 18+.**
I utilize Mindfulness-Based Therapy in coordination with Cognitive Based Therapy because it engages clients in conscious awareness of their present moment and includes openness and non-judgment about the experience. The focus is on increasing our awareness of the thoughts, feelings, and actions that hinder one's progress. When they are better able to do that, they can engage with those aspects of themselves, learn to tweak their language, and choose how to respond.
