(she/her)
I have experience working with people suffering from depression, anxiety, behavioral issues, and trauma. I used Strengths-Based therapies, Solution-Focused Brief therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Trauma-Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I believe that you have the power within yourself to overcome and conquer that which is keeping you from moving forward to a better you. Working together, we can find your inner strength to succeed in life. Let’s get to work.
Clients can expect that we will get to know each other and expect warm, friendly conversation. I try to wait for my clients to be ready to talk about the issues that bother them. I believe that when they are ready to talk, in their own time, the session will be productive. I try to make the first few sessions calm and comfortable. However, I will be honest, but nice, with my clients.
I have a mild and polite personality but I genuinely want to help people have better lives.
With over two decades of experience working with youth, teens, young adults, and their families, I bring a compassionate and knowledgeable approach to therapy. Much of my work has focused on supporting youth in “out-of-home” care, where I addressed behavioral and psychiatric challenges with the goal of family reunification. I have extensive experience helping individuals navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, and behavioral concerns. My therapeutic approach is rooted in Strengths-Based, Client-Centered, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Trauma-Focused care. I believe therapy is a collaborative journey—one where we identify and understand how past and present experiences shape current behavior and emotional well-being. Often, when we're in the middle of a struggle, it’s hard to see a way forward. That’s where therapy can make a difference—offering a safe, nonjudgmental space to gain clarity, build resilience, and begin healing. My passion for this work comes from a deep desire to help others break free from pain and confusion. I truly believe that every person holds the strength within to overcome life’s challenges. Together, we can uncover that strength and move toward a more empowered, fulfilling version of you. Let’s begin the journey—your better tomorrow starts today.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I was trained in the CBT method and have used this theoretical orientation for over seven years. Many times, our thoughts hinder us from growing and moving forward. CBT assists us by challenging negative and unhelpful thoughts while combating cognitive distortions. When I use CBT, I focus on working with people to change their negative thoughts which, in turn, helps in changing negative behaviors
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Many times, when our anxious thoughts bombard us, I use mindfulness techniques to help my clients stay grounded and in the moment. Doing this helps to ease anxieties and calm us during moments of stress.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a great way to empower the client to look within themselves and find the answers to many of their questions. I use SFBT when client see solutions to their problems that may work. We weigh the pros and cons of situations and together discover the best solution.
Trauma-Focused CBT
I am a certified Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT) therapist. I was certified through Rowan University's CARES Institute. I have used TF-CBT with many clients who have deep traumas that they never mended and resolved.
