About
When life feels overwhelming, guidance and support can make all the difference! Together, we’ll work through the challenges of trauma, anxiety, depression, (aka living) with evidence-based strategies — not just to manage symptoms, but to create lasting changes.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to bring empathy and authenticity to my work, shaped by my own journey of challenges and growth.
I have worked with a wide variety of populations; including college students/emerging adults, those in transition from separation/divorce, children, adolescents and their parents including children who have experienced trauma.
First session
After developing an understanding of your needs, we'll create a plan together that is built upon strong, steady guidance and evidence-based skill building to promote lasting change.
Strengths
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to bring empathy and authenticity to my work, shaped by my own journey of challenges and growth. I connect deeply with clients facing the similar struggles of transitions and trying to figure it all out. I use this experience to create a compassionate, supportive space where clients feel understood, empowered, and equipped to foster healing and growth in their own lives.
Ideal clients
Adolescents, young adults, and women seeking practical strategies to better manage anxiety and depression in their daily lives more effectively. Parents looking for guidance, tools, and supportive approaches to handle common parenting challenges, strengthen communication with their children, and foster healthier, happier family dynamics while balancing responsibilities, stress, and emotional well-being in today’s fast-paced, demanding, and increasingly complex modern world.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have extensive experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize and modify unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress. In my practice, I integrate CBT techniques such as cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and mindfulness to build coping skills and promote lasting change
Child Parent Psychotherapy
Using Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) to strengthen the parent–child relationship, I use this intervention to address effects of trauma or stress. In my practice, I help caregivers understand and respond to their child’s emotional needs, fostering safety, attachment, and healthy communication between them.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
In my practice, I integrate DBT techniques to support clients in managing intense emotions, improving relationships, and developing healthier coping strategies in daily life.
Psychoeducation
I regularly incorporate psychoeducation into my practice to help clients better understand their symptoms, diagnoses, and the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I use this approach to empower clients with knowledge and practical strategies, fostering insight, self-awareness, and active participation in their treatment and recovery process.
Parent-Child Interaction (PCIT)
This is an intervention centered around learning positive parenting strategies to better support your child and nurture your relationship. The protocol I utilize and am certified in is called MATCH.
