When life feels overwhelming, guidance and support can make all the difference! Together, we’ll work through the challenges of trauma, anxiety, depression, (aka living) with evidence-based strategies — not just to manage symptoms, but to create lasting changes. I have worked with a wide variety of populations; including college students/emerging adults, those in transition from separation/divorce, children, adolescents and their parents including children who have experienced trauma.
After developing an understanding of your needs, we'll create a plan together that is built upon strong, steady guidance and evidence-based skill building to promote lasting change.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to bring empathy and authenticity to my work, shaped by my own journey of challenges and growth. I connect deeply with clients facing the similar struggles of transitions and trying to figure it all out. I use this experience to create a compassionate, supportive space where clients feel understood, empowered, and equipped to foster healing and growth in their own lives.
My ideal clients are those open to growth and self-reflection as they navigate identity development, family dynamics, and emotional well-being particularly women and parents, young adults and adolescents. My approach focuses on building coping skills, fostering self-awareness, and promoting healthy communication and connection in all areas of life.

Child Parent Psychotherapy
Using Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) to strengthen the parent–child relationship, I use this intervention to address effects of trauma or stress. Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
In my practice, I integrate DBT techniques to support clients in managing intense emotions, improving relationships, and developing healthier coping strategies in daily life.
Psychoeducation
I regularly incorporate psychoeducation into my practice to help clients better understand their symptoms, diagnoses, and the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I use this approach to empower clients with knowledge and practical strategies, fostering insight, self-awareness, and active participation in their treatment and recovery process.
Parent-Child Interaction (PCIT)
This is an intervention centered around learning positive parenting strategies to better support your child and nurture your relationship. The protocol I utilize and am certified in is called MATCH.

After completing my first session with Monica, I found that she is very open and pleasant to speak to. She was engaging and willing to just let me talk and came up with ideas about what I was saying that I had never had before. I look forward to continuing working with her!
