Lyndsey Kidd
Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed in Florida, Oregon, Kansas (LSCSW), New Hampshire, and Texas. I received my Master's degree from Louisiana State University and have been practicing for 9 years. I help adults find ways to heal their anxiety and depression, help them become more self-aware, and to stop negative thinking, so they can become the best versions of themselves. I help adults ages 18+ struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, suicidal ideations, self-harm, grief/loss, and life transitions. I utilize a variety of treatment modalities such as CBT, CPT, DBT, ACT, Interpersonal, Narrative, Supportive, Compassionate, Grief, and various others depending on your needs. I help clients stay in the present moment (utilizing other techniques) as this can be very difficult to do in our busy lives today.

Therapy is a form of "self-care", and we will work together as a team to address your specific challenges, goals, and needs. I am dedicated, passionate, and caring.
First session
In our first session, we will spend time getting to know each other and discuss what you are looking for in your therapeutic experiences. This will help me form a tailored plan for the direction we will go in our following session.
Strengths
My greatest strengths as a therapist are my empathic nature and my drive to assist others in problem solving. I want my clients to feel that they are heard and understood. My goal is to get you to the place that you strive to be. I am empowering, caring, great listener, and clients find it easy to talk to me.
Ideal clients
I work with individuals ages 18 and older who may be struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, and other life challenges. I help clients who are seeking greater happiness, balance, and fulfillment in their lives. I believe that understanding our past and present experiences can help us gain insight into the choices we have made and the patterns that may be affecting us today. Through therapy, I help my clients explore their experiences in a safe and supportive environment, gain a deeper understanding of themselves, and find greater peace, clarity, and direction as they move forward.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT helps you become aware of inaccurate or negative thinking so you can view challenging situations more clearly and respond to them in a more effective way. I have used CBT with my clients to assist them in self-discovery to understand their fears and insecurities, so they feel more confident to change behaviors and enhance their lifestyle.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is especially effective for people who have difficulty managing and regulating their emotions. I have used DBT to assist them in managing their emotions in times of a crisis or in high stress environments by helping them understand their triggers and assisting them with practical solutions when issues arise to help them feel more prepared and confident to cope with life's challenges.
Grief Therapy
I utilize this treatment method to help clients experiencing grief in many forms such as the loss of a relationship, job, significant other, family members, and friends.
