I am a licensed clinical social worker in FL, Idaho, Virginia; licensed independent clinical social worker in Massachusetts and Minnesota. I graduated from Barry University in 2014 and have been working within the mental health and hospital field since. I enjoy helping others overcome the challenges life throws at them. With the right mindset, support and environment, I believe anything is possible. I provide psychotherapy services to clients in a collaborative, supportive, and safe environment.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first interaction, we’ll start with a brief introduction; then dive into your reasons for seeking therapy. We’ll go over consent forms, and formulate a treatment plan.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a clinician with 11 years of experience in diverse fields, I’ve had the privilege to work with everyone from children to older adults; I feel I have something to offer to most individuals. I believe some of my greatest strengths as a provider are my abilities to overcome challenges, my warmth and ability to empathize with others. I consider myself an overcomer. I’ve experienced many challenges, but by the grace of God, I was able to overcome. I had a great support system who saw me through. My career stemmed from my desire to help pay it forward. I had an amazing therapist who helped me through the grief of losing my daughter 15 years ago; my goal is to help others without imposing judgement. “Joy comes in the morning.” I believe you can see the light at the end of that tunnel if you’re determined and willing to put in the effort.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with adolescents, children, adults and the elderly in the areas of behavioral issues, mental illness, addiction, family conflicts, life challenges/transitions, self-esteem issues, and grief and loss.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

I try to help clients to reframe their mindset by looking at the positive aspects of their lives, past achievements, positive relationships and life goals.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is one of my go to techniques in therapy. I try to help clients replace their unhealthy thought patterns with helpful ones. Replacing problematic thoughts with positive ones.

Supportive

There’s no one size fits all in therapy. My goal is to provide emotional support, encouragement and validation to help reduce stress and manage accompanied symptoms.
