I am an LCSW with 20 years experience in the field of social work. I received my MSW at Rutgers University. I work the children, adolescents and adults. I have specialized training in trauma informed care, special education and behavior focused therapies. My experiences includes working in school, hospital, community and private practice settings to help clients achieve their goals.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I’m really looking forward to meeting you! Our first session is all about starting off on the right foot. We’ll begin with some simple introductions so we can get to know each other a bit. My goal is to create a relaxed, comfortable space where you feel at ease—think of it as a conversation, not a test! This is all about you, so I’ll focus on making it a person-centered experience that fits who you are. We’ll take some time to talk about what’s on your mind—what concerns or symptoms you’re dealing with right now. No rush, no pressure—just whatever you’re ready to share. From there, we’ll explore what you’d like to work on and how we can make this journey your own. Together, we’ll brainstorm a personalized approach and set some goals that feel meaningful to you. It’s a chance for us to lay the groundwork and figure out how I can best support you moving forward.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

One of the things I’m proudest of as a therapist is my ability to connect with you—building a genuine rapport so you feel comfortable and heard right from the start. I’m also big on keeping healthy boundaries in place, which helps create a safe, relaxed space where you can just be yourself during our sessions. To me, that balance is key. With years of experience under my belt, I’ve learned that the best way to support you is to meet you exactly where you are right now—no judgment, just understanding. From there, we’ll focus on where you want to go. I love working side by side with you, collaborating to spark change and build on your personal growth. Whether it’s tackling challenges or uncovering new strengths, I’m here to help you get to where you’d like to be, step by step.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I’m passionate about supporting children and adolescents who are facing mental health or behavioral challenges, and I’d love to work with you or your family. Whether it’s helping a young person navigate tough emotions or guiding parents through the ups and downs of raising kids—like big transitions or tricky parenting moments—I’m here for it. I offer individual therapy, group sessions, and family therapy, so we can find the right fit for what you need. If you’re looking to build better coping skills, boost communication, shift unhelpful thinking patterns, process trauma, or make some behavior changes, I’d be honored to team up with you. My approach is all about collaboration and putting you at the center of the process. Together, we’ll focus on what matters most to you, sparking personal growth and resilience in a way that feels natural and empowering.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I work with clients in CBT practices and techniques to understand the connection between thoughts, feelings and behaviors. We work collaboratively to improve symptoms related to intrusive thoughts and cognitive distortions and make changes in behavior patterns.

Child Parent Psychotherapy

With 20 years experience working with children and parents, I work in a collaborative and solution focused model to help clients meet their goals and create a cohesive relationship between child and parent.

Family Therapy

Utilizing structural family therapy, solution focused therapy and collaborative approaches we will work together on creating healthy communication patterns and boundaries within family Relationships.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

As a therapist using Solution-Focused Therapy, my primary aim is to help you shift your focus from what’s wrong in your life to what’s possible—your strengths, resources, and vision for a better future. Rather than spending a lot of time analyzing the root causes of your problems or dissecting past difficulties, I work with you to identify what you want to achieve and how we can get there together.

Trauma Informed Care

Hi there—I’m really glad you’re here, and I want you to know that my approach to working with you is something called Trauma-Informed Care. That might sound like a big term, but it’s really just about creating a space where you feel safe, respected, and in control as we go through this together.
