Hello, I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, licensed in California and Utah. I speak English and Japanese. I have been working with adult individuals who are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma and interpersonal issues. I use different modalities such as Interpersonal Psychotherapy, TF-CBT, DBT to assist individual identifying presenting issues, improving symptoms, managing their daily life by utilizing coping skills. I am here to assist you. Individual adult clients only.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

First session is to understand you, and obtain information about you, in order for me to start developing a treatment map/plan. I do take notes while I am listening to you. First session is important to you and myself to get to know each other. I am always so anxious and nervous to meet a new client for the first time, just to let you know.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have been working in this mental health field since 2003 including internship during school years. I have met so many clients, family in the past who were struggling. I will assess the client's need and will discuss treatment plan. If a client is in need of other referrals, I will utilize Grow Therapy network to provide resources for the client.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I have met so many clients who have skills, but not being able to use skills when actually needed. I will guide clients to practice skills in their daily life and will focus on a small change/improvement that they are able to see. We can't change everything in a day, it takes time, but change and improvement will happen.
