Hi! My name is Liz Menges, and I am Licensed Professional Counselor. With over 20 years of experience, I have had the privilege of working with clients, each bringing their own distinct challenges to counseling. I believe in tailoring goals and treatment to address each individual's specific needs. My aim is to help clients live authentically, embracing confidence, acceptance, peace, and happiness.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session is focused on getting to know each other. My goal is to create an emotionally safe space where clients feel comfortable and vulnerable enough to share their story. It's important for me to understand the challenges a person is facing, as well as the ultimate goals they hope to achieve through counseling by the end of that first session.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

With over two decades of experience as a therapist, I have witnessed my clients' profound experiences, the impact those experiences have had on them, and their determination to move forward. In this journey, I have learned as much from my clients as they have learned from me.. I am deeply honored when clients feel comfortable enough to share their struggles, and I understand the significance of that trust. I approach my work with honesty and transparency, believing that the potential for change is always present.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I enjoy working with individuals who are open to self-reflection and dedicated to making positive changes in their lives. Clients who are motivated to explore and understand their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors, and who are ready to work together with their counselor to achieve their goals. It's essential that clients view me as a supportive person in their journey to create lasting change, whether they are addressing specific challenges or seeking to improve their overall well-being.
