The therapy I provide is supportive and compassionate where you can feel truly heard, validated, and accepted just as you are. My intention is to help you find your voice and use it in a meaningful way, to help you transform the way that you interact with yourself, your family, and the world. Sometimes this means changing your communication style, or just learning to feel more comfortable. You may feel weighed down by depression, codependency, responsibility, or addictive behaviors, or you might struggle with asserting boundaries and standing up for your own needs. Whether you’re navigating identity issues, working through past traumas, or simply seeking greater meaning in your life or relationships, change is possible.
During our first session, we will get to know one another. The first session is a bit different than follow-up sessions because it's sort of an assessment -- a getting-to-know-you talk. You will find that I'm a pretty comfortable person to be around.
I'm very non-judgmental and accepting of people from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences. If I don't understand something, I inquire until you feel understood. My goal is always to make sure that you and I are on the same page, working together toward something that makes sense to both of us, in a way that is gentle, compassionate, focused, and meaningful.
In general, I treat individual adults. I approach treatment with compassion, empathy, and a deep respect for each client's unique background and experiences. Utilizing person-centered techniques and attachment-focused interventions, I help clients address issues like depression, anxiety, addiction, codependency, family conflict, and life transitions.
Attachment-focused therapy involves building a safe and secure environment within the therapy hour.
Humanistic therapy, for me, is all about helping you to achieve the best and healthiest version of yourself possible. I want to help you to make meaningful choices in your life.
The goal of interpersonal therapy is to achieve better relationships -- friendships, family, romantic, even at work.
