Hi! I'm Zoe. I’m a licensed clinical social worker specializing in helping teens and adults navigate challenges like anxiety, depression, eating disorders, trauma, and Borderline Personality Disorder. Using CBT, DBT, and EMDR, I provide a supportive space where clients can process experiences, manage mood, and build resilience. My goal is to help each person feel understood, empowered, and equipped with practical tools to build healthy relationships with others, themselves, and food.
In our first session, we’ll start by discussing your life history and getting a clear picture of what you’d like to work through in therapy. Each person heals at their own pace, so I’ll never push you to discuss anything you’re not comfortable with. Based on what we cover, I’ll recommend either weekly or twice-weekly sessions to provide the level of support that best meets your needs and symptom severity.
You’ll feel seen, heard, and understood when working with me. I’m dedicated to validating your unique struggles and offering support in a way that makes sense to you.
I specialize in helping teens and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, PTSD, eating disorders, Borderline Personality Disorder, mood swings, and relationship challenges. My approach is grounded in creating a safe, understanding space where you can explore what's really going on. With years of experience working with trauma survivors, I understand how hard it can feel to find stability and self-acceptance when you’ve faced complex challenges. Together, we’ll use tools like CBT and DBT to help manage intense emotions, improve self-esteem, and create healthier connections with others. If you're working through past trauma or feel weighed down by painful memories, EMDR can help you process those experiences in an empowering way, so you can move forward with confidence. My goal is to support you in building resilience, managing your mood, and fostering positive relationships with others, yourself, and food, so you can start living the life you deserve.
Individual DBT skills training is a collaborative process where you and I work together to explore and practice specific DBT skills that are most relevant to your life. Whether you’re struggling with regulating your emotions, communicating effectively in relationships, or coping with distressing situations, I will provide guidance and support as you develop and integrate these skills into your daily life.
EMDR therapy is a specialized form of psychotherapy that helps individuals process and heal from distressing or traumatic experiences. Developed by Francine Shapiro in the late 1980s, EMDR utilizes bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements, hand tapping, or auditory tones, to facilitate the brain’s natural healing process and alleviate emotional distress.
CBT is a structured, goal-oriented therapy that focuses on the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It operates on the principle that our thoughts influence our emotions and behaviors, and by changing our thought patterns, we can change how we feel and act.
Humanistic therapy emphasizes individual potential, personal growth, and self-awareness. It encourages clients to explore their feelings and experiences in a non-judgmental, empathetic environment, helping them achieve self-acceptance and fulfillment. This approach, often associated with Carl Rogers and Abraham Maslow, believes that people are inherently good and capable of making positive choices. The therapist acts as a guide, fostering a supportive relationship where clients can discover their true selves, gain insight into their emotions, and realize their full potential for personal growth and self-actualization.
I typically use a blend of therapy styles and tailor my approach to you!
