Hello, my name is Jacqueline Curet Agrón, I am a bilingual, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), in the state of Florida. I completed a Master degree of Clinical Social Work from Universidad Ana G. Méndez in Orlando, Florida. I have experience working in a Community Behavioral Health Care center as; group and individual therapist. I provide psychotherapy services to diverse populations, including children’s ages six and up, adolescents, and adults. My approach to therapy is grounded in holistic and evidence-based therapy practices, that have shown to promote long-lasting, and sustainable mental health. During the experience working with individuals, I have come to believe that therapy treatment is not a “one size fits all” approach, every individual has a unique story and needs.
During our first meeting, I will feel honored to greet you, to listen to your story, as well as your needs, questions you may have and expectations for therapy services. We are going to have a conversation to determine whether the therapeutic approaches offered are one that tailors your needs, preferences, and expectations. This collaborative process will allow us to give structure to your therapy treatment and determine goals for services.
Having working with multiple populations displaying different needs, I have developed the ability to create a genuine, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where individuals feel truly heard and valued. I practice deep empathy, actively listening and reflecting clients' thoughts and emotions to foster self-awareness and personal growth.
As a therapist, I believe the importance of every story, and an individual’s potential to cultivate a harmonious relationship with their emotions and develop a positive perspective of life. I am passionate about helping individuals from multiple cultural backgrounds; my goal is to meet the individuals where they are, provide a safe, trusting, and supportive space where they can feel heard and supported.
I specialize on Person Centered therapy (PCT) to provide a supportive environment where the individual can explore their thoughts and feelings in a non-directive way, allowing for self-discovery, personal growth, and healing.
Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), to assist individuals to identify and challenge negative or unhelpful thought patterns, behaviors, and emotional responses that contribute to mental health difficulties
Solution focused therapy (SFT) to assist individuals to identify their strengths and available resources, encouraging them to visualize a desired future and identify steps to move forward to it, focusing on finding solutions rather than dwelling on problems, I integrate motivational interview (MI) to help individuals find their own motivation to make positive changes in their lives, particularly when they are ambivalent or resistant to change.
