I am Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York and Florida. I am also certified as a substance abuse counselor in New York (CASAC) and Florida (CAC). My extensive expertise, combined with my empathetic and empowering approach, has contributed towards helping clients like you discover your strengths and achieve meaningful change. I provide individual, couples, family and group counseling sessions.
In our first session I will gain information about you and why you want to engage in treatment. We will also review expectations for treatment as well as pinpoint areas you want to focus on.
I am culturally sensitive, empathetic, and skilled at building trust within the therapeutic relationship. I recognize and respect the unique cultural backgrounds and experiences of each client, creating a safe and inclusive space for growth and healing. By fostering an environment of understanding and mutual respect, I am able to establish strong, trusting connections that support clients in their journey toward self-discovery and personal transformation.
I am deeply passionate about working with individuals, families, and couples, helping them navigate life's challenges and cultivate meaningful connections. My goal is to assist clients in gaining a deeper understanding of themselves, their relationships, and their purpose as they move forward in life. Through collaborative and compassionate therapy, clients who engage in treatment will rediscover their sense of purpose, enhance emotional resilience, and achieve greater clarity in their personal journeys.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in sessions to help you identify and challenge negative thought patterns that influence your emotions and behaviors. By teaching you to reframe these thoughts and adopt healthier perspectives, you begin to feel empowered to develop effective coping strategies. Through structured exercises like journaling, role-playing, or thought records, you can practice these skills and build resilience over time.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients process and heal from traumatic experiences. EMDR is designed to reduce distress linked to traumatic memories.
Engaging in Motivational interviewing will help you overcome your fears or uncertainty. This style will empower you to make changes while respecting your autonomy during your recovery process.
The goal for your couple's session is to improve your communication, gain conflict resolution skills and develop an overall deeper understanding of one another.
