I am a licensed clinical social worker committed to having a successful therapeutic relationship with clients. I like to empower and collaboratively work with clients to address their concerns, reach their personal goals and optimal potentials. I've always wanted to help people and I've always been a really social person; therapy allows me to do both and serve clients who may not have sought therapy before. Being a Black woman, I understand that people who look like me are least likely to seek therapy; this is one of the reasons I chose to become a therapist. I love interacting with clients from all different backgrounds as this widens my therapeutic practice. I received my undergraduate degree from FSU and my MSW degree from FIU.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Your first session with me is a chance for you to say all the things and ask questions. It's important in this session for us to discuss your wants and needs.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have varied experience treating clients with different mental health struggles. Depression and overall coping with life's adjustments have come to the forefront as a majority of clients present with these issues. My biggest strength as a clinician is meeting clients where they are and helping them to find ways to cope that are tailored to their individual needs. Please note all appointments have to be confirmed.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Clients that are ready to do the work outside the therapy room. Therapy can be a lot because it makes client face unsettling areas of their lives. I am here to assist those that are ready to take on the task.
