Welcome! Congratulations on beginning this path. I am here to support you every step of the way. As a queer-identified therapist, I specialize in providing support for individuals navigating chronic illness, loss, and grief, as well as those experiencing mood disorders. My therapeutic approach is warm and non-judgmental, and I strive to be that source of support, compassion, and encouragement for my clients while also teaching them valuable skills that allow them to access these tools within themselves. I listen with an open mind help you to develop your own personal wisdom and achieve meaningful change. My approach is psychodynamic, and strength based. I'm interested in the events of your everyday life, personal history, and how these aspects of your story relate to each other. I will help you to identify and build upon strengths you already have.
I'll talk to you about my style and approach and together we'll begin to explore reasons that brought you to therapy. We'll talk about goals that you may have and begin to create a plan on how you may achieve them. I want to create a safe place where you can begin to share and explore your thoughts and feelings.
Every therapist is different. What I can offer to you is my empathy and compassion. I listen deeply and provide a non-judgemental space where I hope that you will feel comfortable in sharing with me. I offer you my full attention, as well as insight and perspective. It's important to me that I adapt my approach to suit your needs, and that I am aware of the cultural and social needs that you have. Each client brings their own diversity, and I want to honor that.
I'm here to work with someone who is ready to navigate challenges you’re facing and explore the aspects of your life that you’d like to work on. I look forward to hearing more about what bring you here and how I can best serve you as we start this journey together.
Through the use of psychodynamic therapy, we can explore your thoughts, feelings and individual experiences.
It's important to focus on a person's strengths which can be through existing resources, resilience, and positive qualities and then use these abilities to improve quality of life.
