Hello! Today is a great day to take the first step toward positive change in your life. My name is Kristina, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania with eight years of experience helping clients navigate relationship challenges, intimacy issues, anger management, parenting skills, self-esteem, and confidence. I believe that you are the expert of your own story, and within you lies the strength to overcome life’s challenges. Seeking a more fulfilling and joyful life requires courage, and I am here to support and guide you on that journey.
My clients can expect a non-judgmental and collaborative session, where we work together to create a treatment plan with clear goals. I am an active, directive therapist, engaging in ongoing dialogue throughout the session. However, if the client feels the need to talk freely to process their emotions, I’m here to listen and provide space for that as well.
I believe my greatest strength lies in being a spiritual healer, guiding others to discover their path using approaches like Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mind-Body, and Strength-Based techniques. Many individuals struggle with anxiety and depression because they are not living in alignment with their core strengths. My goal is to help clients live authentically, develop effective coping skills, and ultimately empower them to find their own answers from within.
I am passionate about working with individuals on their spiritual journey and those seeking to expand their consciousness. Many people hesitate to share their spiritual beliefs for fear of judgment or ridicule, leaving them without a safe space for self-expression. I deeply value the trust my clients place in me when they feel safe enough to share their beliefs. Through this process, they begin healing from past trauma and stepping into their most authentic selves, creating meaningful change in their lives.
I have been utilizing the Cognitive Behavioral approach for approximately eight years, guiding clients through interactive conversations to explore their concerns. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a well-established method for treating various mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Additionally, I support both men and women who have experienced domestic violence and narcissistic abuse. Through CBT, clients can openly express their emotions and behaviors, gaining a deeper understanding of their triggers. This awareness is a crucial step in healing from anxiety, depression, and trauma. By identifying and addressing these underlying patterns, individuals can significantly reduce their symptoms and move toward a more authentic and fulfilling life. Not only as a therapist but also as someone who has personally applied these methods, I have experienced profound transformation. By looking inward and challenging my childhood programming, I was able to heal from the past and step into my true, authentic self.
I have worked with children and parents facing behavioral challenges at home and in school. I hold a Behavioral Specialist License (BSL) through the state of Pennsylvania. My experience includes working not only with children exhibiting behavioral difficulties but also with those on the autism spectrum. Parenting comes with its challenges, and no family is perfect. As a mother of four, I made my share of mistakes. I remember the pain of being judged and the whispers of others about me and my children. That experience shaped my belief in compassion over criticism—I do not pass judgment because no one else has walked your path. I also like to challenge parents to heal their past and parent from a love stance, not a fear-based stance. I strive to create a safe and supportive space where parents can openly discuss the struggles within their home. My approach to change is rooted in love rather than fear, empowering parents to recognize and address subconscious triggers that may reinforce certain patterns within the family dynamic. Through this awareness, lasting and meaningful transformation becomes possible.
Positive psychology is built on four fundamental approaches to therapy, emphasizing the pillars of loving and engaging relationships, a sense of purpose, optimism, and spiritual growth to cultivate authentic happiness. As part of this approach, individuals take a strengths assessment to identify their core strengths. Everyone possesses 24 inherent strengths that shape their identity and resilience, particularly during times of crisis. However, these strengths may sometimes come into conflict with specific life situations, creating challenges that require self-awareness and adaptation.
As a spiritualist, I incorporate a mind-body approach into therapy sessions, fostering holistic healing from the inside out. This approach empowers individuals to integrate their spirituality as a positive coping mechanism, promoting emotional and mental well-being.
