Hello, I’m Jasmin, and I’m here to support you in navigating life's challenges with compassion, insight, and proven therapeutic tools. As a therapist, my approach is collaborative, meaning that we’ll work together to understand your unique experiences and find ways to move forward in a way that feels authentic and empowering for you. I believe in creating a safe and non-judgmental space where you can feel heard, valued, and understood. Whether you're dealing with past trauma, managing stress, working through relationship difficulties, or simply seeking personal growth, my goal is to guide you toward healing and resilience. I draw on a variety of therapeutic approaches, including, but not limited to, EMDR, CBT, trauma-informed care, psychodynamic therapy, and attachment-based therapy, to offer a well-rounded and individualized treatment plan. The impact of therapy can be life-changing. Together, we can uncover patterns that may be limiting your potential and work to reframe them. You’ll gain new coping skills, a deeper understanding of yourself, and the ability to navigate life’s ups and downs with confidence and clarity. It’s about empowering you to build the life you deserve and move toward emotional well-being and fulfillment. If you’re ready to take the first step toward healing, I’m here to walk alongside you every step of the way.
During the initial intake appointment, the primary goal is to establish a foundation for the therapeutic relationship and understand your concerns/ what your therapy goals are. The first session is designed to gather information, build trust, and sets the stage for future work. It’s a chance for you to share your story, which allows me to begin understanding how to best support you moving forward. Overall, the first session is an important step toward connecting with each other, feeling supported, and beginning your healing journey.
As a therapist, my greatest strengths lie in my expertise in trauma and anxiety, my ability to create a safe and supportive therapeutic alliance, and my commitment to empowering clients throughout their healing journey. I believe that healing begins with a strong, trusting relationship, which is why I prioritize creating a safe space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported. I’m dedicated to empowering clients by providing them with the tools and insights they need to navigate life’s challenges and build lasting resilience. Active listening and reflection are central to my approach, as I strive to deeply understand my clients' experiences and help them gain clarity and self-awareness. Additionally, I take an integrative approach to therapy, drawing on various techniques and modalities—such as but not limited to, EMDR, CBT, and trauma-informed care—to ensure that each client receives personalized, effective support based on their unique needs and goals.
I specialize in working with clients who have a history of trauma and/or are struggling with anxiety. In my practice, I’m committed to helping individuals heal from the effects of trauma and break free from the grip of unhelpful thinking patterns. I believe that every person has the ability to heal and regain control over their lives, but sometimes we need the right support and tools to get there. By offering a safe therapeutic environment, you'll be able to explore topics ranging from, but not limited to: difficult life-transitions, conflicts with loved ones, grief, anxiety, depression, racial disparities, sexuality, or traumatic events. My focus is to provide a safe, supportive space where clients can understand and process their emotions, develop greater self-awareness, and ultimately feel more empowered to navigate life with confidence and peace.
I’ve been practicing EMDR since 2019 and became EMDR certified in 2022. EMDR is a powerful, evidence-based therapy that helps individuals process and reframe distressing memories or experiences through using bilateral stimulation (BLS). By using BLS, EMDR assists in unlocking and reshaping the way traumatic memories are stored in the brain, leading to lasting emotional relief and personal growth. Whether you're dealing with past trauma, chronic stress, or seeking to improve emotional well-being, I work collaboratively with my clients to create a safe, supportive space for healing. My goal is to help you regain control over your life and achieve a sense of peace and balance.
I utilize CBT to help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns that may be contributing to various emotional struggles. CBT is a practical, solution-focused therapy that is grounded in the understanding that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are deeply interconnected. By working together, we can uncover unhelpful thought patterns and replace them with healthier, more constructive beliefs that empower you to make positive changes in your life. CBT is a collaborative approach that emphasizes learning new coping strategies and practical skills for managing difficult emotions and situations. The goal of CBT is to equip you with the tools to recognize and shift unhelpful thinking, enabling you to respond more effectively to life's challenges and improve your overall well-being.
Trauma-informed care is an approach that recognizes the widespread impact of trauma and how it can affect a person’s physical, emotional, and psychological well-being. Trauma can come in many forms—whether from a single event or ongoing experiences—and can shape the way we think, feel, and behave. By integrating trauma-informed care, I prioritize your safety, trust, and empowerment throughout the therapeutic process. This means that I am mindful of how past traumatic experiences may influence your present thoughts and behaviors. I work at your pace, ensuring that we approach sensitive topics in a way that feels comfortable and manageable for you. The core of trauma-informed care is about helping you feel seen, heard, and validated in your healing journey. My goal is to help you build resilience, gain a sense of safety, and ultimately move towards healing with compassion and respect.
Psychodynamic therapy is grounded in the belief that our past experiences, particularly those from childhood, can shape the way we respond to current situations and relationships. By exploring these deeper, often unconscious patterns, we can uncover the root causes of current challenges and begin to create lasting change. I use psychodynamic therapy because it allows us to explore and understand recurring patterns in your life, particularly in your relationships, feelings, and ways of coping with stress. Through this process, we can gain insight into unresolved conflicts, past traumas, or early life experiences that may be affecting your mental health today. The goal of psychodynamic therapy is not only to increase self-awareness but also to develop a deeper understanding of yourself, leading to personal growth and healthier ways of relating to others. By bringing unconscious thoughts and feelings to the surface in a safe and supportive environment, I help you process and work through unresolved issues, promoting emotional healing and a better understanding of who you are.
Using an attachment-based approach, I work with clients to explore how past attachment experiences—whether secure or insecure—may be impacting current relationships and emotional well-being. Many challenges we face as adults, such as difficulty trusting others, fear of abandonment, or struggles with intimacy, can stem from early attachment experiences. By identifying and understanding these patterns, we can begin to heal and create healthier, more fulfilling relationships. Attachment-based therapy is focused on building trust and emotional safety in the therapeutic relationship, offering a space where you can feel secure and understood. My goal is to help you develop secure, healthy attachments that support your emotional growth and lead to more meaningful, balanced connections in all areas of your life.
