Do you feel like something inside is broken? Do you feel less-than-whole emotionally, physically or in relationships and want to learn to put the pieces together to create your optimal life? Do you feel like your own worst enemy, tearing yourself down with negative self-talk? This is where I come in. Working together as your guide, I help you learn the skills, insights and strategies so that when future situations arrive, you will learn to trust yourself to confront challenges mindfully and compassionately. I received my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California and have worked with a range of clients from those with acute crises to those who want a mental health accountability partner to check in with. I’m a holistic psychotherapist who takes the time to make sure you are on the best path to healing. I approach the practice of therapy as a mutual relationship, one that is based on integrity and trust. I conduct each session with a calm, empathetic and attuned presence. My goal is to provide a safe container for you to fully experience all parts of yourself and to foster your personal growth.
In the first session, I’ll introduce myself and dive right into the challenges that you’re facing. I will find a healthy balance between being goal directed and allowing you to discuss what is on your mind. My overall goal is to create a safe place for you to discuss the reasons you’re seeking therapy and to begin holding a sacred place for healing.
My strength comes from the therapeutic relationship I build with my clients. Once we have a relationship built on trust, the sky is the limit on what you can achieve.
I love working with clients that take both direct action to solve problems and who are willing to go deep and discuss life philosophies with me. I love clients who are really willing to dig in and do the hard work that comes with therapy and making difficult changes. I want clients who are insightful about their own sense of self and as a person in relationships.
Damaged early attachments can have deep and lasting wounds. Attachment-based therapy provides insights into these early attachments and how to repair these relationships.
When a client (especially a child or adolescent) is struggling, the struggle impacts multiple family members. In this treatment method, adults related to the child have a chance to explore their relationships as it pertains to the client's mental health issue. The relationship is strengthened when the caregiver understand how to support the client.
I have been trained in CBT to assist in a range of mental health issues such as trauma and anxiety. I apply these techniques in a wide range of ways in therapy and look at it as tools that I can teach clients.
I use this treatment method in my practice as a strategy for clients to bring up and discuss some of the on-going issues that they are having with family members.
This treatment method focuses on the client's unique qualities, needs, experiences and perspectives.
