Welcome! As a licensed therapist in the SF Bay Area, I provide online video therapy to individuals with unique cultural identities. My goal as a therapist is to create a safe space that will enable you to ignite your inner strengths and achieve your life goals. I provide individual and family therapy for a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, grief, family conflict and relationship difficulties.
During our first session, we will get to know each other. Sometimes, new clients are "full" and ready to talk about a particular issue. If so, I will be ready to listen. Other times, new clients are unsure what to say. That's fine also. I will take the lead and start the conversation by telling you more about me and then asking you what you would like to share about yourself. You have the right not to answer any questions. This is your time, and the goal is to make you comfortable.
My practice is culturally responsive and dynamically informed by your multifaceted identity. My style is warm, engaged, and full of creativity. Collaboratively, we will create a tailored plan that meets your personally identified needs.
I specialize in working with women struggling with issues related to motherhood and with people of color grappling with issues related to race and racism.
I specialize in working with people of color and utilize culturally responsive methods to ensure safety in my sessions.
I utilize CBT to help clients identify self-defeating thoughts and habits that no longer serve them. I then collaborate with my clients to identify empowering thoughts and actions to help them find joy and success.
I utilize solution-focused therapy to help clients quickly identify significant issues and implement strategies to improve their quality of life immediately.
I believe that clients are the experts in their lives. My job is to help them identify the internal strengths that have helped them in life and put those to work in solving the issues that have brought them to therapy. I also help clients build on these strengths and identify resources to help them achieve their goals.
