I am a licensed clinical social worker who graduated with a master’s degree in social work from Syracuse University. I provide short-term and long-term counseling for various age groups and conditions. I've primarily worked with teens and adults who have presented with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma and behavioral problems impacting daily life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the first session I will be able to introduce myself and tell you about my role and how best to provide therapy. I will also ask the reasons for us meeting and what you would like assistance with. Hopefully by the end of the session we will both have developed a plan to address the problems you are faced with.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I can provide a safe, empathic, and therapeutic setting conducive to growing, healing and change. I will work to empower, motivate, and challenge you to create a better life.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is helpful with clients who struggle with anxiety. At times our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors can increase anxious feelings making stressful situations feel much more uncomfortable. With CBT, people develop skills and strategies to identify and change unhelpful or distorted thinking patterns, which will help to reduce anxious feelings.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectic Behavioral Therapy focuses on helping people cope with intense and unstable emotions which may lead to strained relationships and engagement in unhealthy behaviors. DBT provides skills that can assist with recognizing and effectively coping with intense emotions that often resulted in problematic behaviors that interfere with daily life.
