Counseling is my gift that makes room for me. It is more than a job to me. It is a part of who I am. I am a Christian and this you will see even in the counsel that is given. I will not judge anyone but I will challenge anyone to meet the goals they set in counseling. I am a Father figure and very passionate about what I do.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Identify the goals for treatment planning. Getting to know a bit about who you are and where you come from to give counsel that will relate to who your are.

I am retired military so I can relate to the concerns of those in service. A Pastor for over 20 years the Spiritual counsel is important to what I offer. Prayer is a major part of what I offer in counseling.

Have Counseled in the church for over 30 Years. Use scripture and biblical principles to guide those who are Christians.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use to help individuals move forward. Using the CBT Model to focus on what individuals have control over.
Couples Counseling
This is my gift and spiritual counsel have a heart to minister to couples to build Godly families that win.

I am really enjoying working with Dr. Black. He is so wonderful. He listens to you and provides very constructive feedback. He does not let you veer off course and allow the session to become a âVentingâ session. I have had many therapists where they allow you to just talk without any concrete resolution to your problem. Dr. Black is not that kind of therapist. He will empower you with the tools you need to resolve your issues.
