About me

My inspiration to become a therapist came from my parents, who immigrated to the United States with resilience, compassion, and determination to create a better life. Watching them navigate barriers while raising 7 children and running a small business taught me perseverance, growth, and kindness. From their example, I learned that even in hardship, barriers can be broken down with humility, care, and compassion. I carry those lessons into my work, integrating my expertise in the field and real-life wisdom into my work walking alongside with clients. For over a decade, I’ve worked in advocacy and mental health, serving underprivileged and underserved communities primarily the Latinx community. I support individuals from many walks of life, including those struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, postpartum challenges, PTSD, multigenerational trauma, and relationship difficulties.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I take time to learn what you already know about therapy and to hear about any past experiences you may have had. Together, we co-create a plan that feels realistic and supportive for your needs. I also talk openly about safety and comfort, because I know starting therapy can feel scary or overwhelming. I normalize I may not be the best match for everyone and that's ok. My goal is to help and lead people to the right direction even if that help is not with me. I help and guide you in ensuring you're connected with someone you do connect with. My priority is that you leave the session with both clarity and a sense of relief that you don’t have to navigate this journey alone.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I truly believe I was born to do this work. My approach is rooted in intuition, sensitivity, and creativity, which allows me to meet clients where they are in a genuine and authentic way. Many of my clients share that they can feel this authenticity, and it helps them feel seen and understood. I take the time to explain things in ways that is easy to digest, breaking concepts down so they’re relatable and easy to grasp. Above all, my goal is to create an atmosphere where clients feel safe, supported, and empowered knowing they are not just being listened to, but deeply understood.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work well with clients who are maybe hesitant to begin therapy, they may be uncertain or it's their first time trying to get support. They may have tried doing things on their own and or feel exhausted by life and know deep down inside that they want support even if they don’t quite know what that looks like yet. They might be the first in their family to be the one to get help. I feel especially connected to working with first-generation adults, parents, and cycle breakers ; those who carry the weight of both their own struggles and their family’s stories. These clients often come in feeling overwhelmed, by trauma, anxiety, postpartum challenges, or family patterns they’re determined to change. Seeing clients reconnect with their strength, rediscover joy, and break free from cycles of pain is the most meaningful part of my work.

My treatment methods

Trauma Informed Care

I understand that past experiences and trauma can shape how you feel today. In our sessions, I focus on creating safety, trust, and understanding so you can heal at your own pace . I envision myself working side by side my clients in a collaborative way, empowering them to take the steps to feel more in control of their lives.

Attachment-based

Our early relationships often influence how we connect with others now. Together we look at relationship patterns and build healthier ways of relating, so you can feel more secure in yourself and in your relationships.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

Understanding our background and stories of origin and heritage shape who we are. Together we look your experiences like family, language, or immigration have shaped your life, and find ways to honor your identity while caring for your individual needs.

Eclectic

The initial groundwork is about learning your story: where you come from, what you've been through, and what matters most to you. From there, I blend intuition with proven approaches, pulling the tools you need, whether that's processing past experiences, learning new coping skills, or building healthier patterns.

Strength-Based

Almost all of the individuals I've worked with have strengths that have gotten them through their lives. Even when they feel tired or weak, theres a part of them that has carried them here. In therapy I remind them of that strength, build on it and use it to face what's ahead
