(he/him)
Hi. My name is Justin. I two time national academic honoree from my master's program at top-ranked Fordham University for Social Services. I have nearly a decade of experience working in mental health, having trained extensively in dual diagnosis treatment center settings. I have a high level of comfort in treating a wide variety of disorders at different levels of acuity. My style is solution-focused with a calm, grounded demeanor. I am absolutely open to working with all populations and always love to gain experience as I can.
Our first session will be about introductions and finding our level of comfort with each other. Within the first session, there will be a good number of questions pertaining to your experience in order to form useful treatment goals that can be measured over time. I allow some time for the client to ask any questions about expectations for their care that can contribute to a level of comfort. The first session is also a good opportunity to see if we are a good fit for one another.
My level of intelligence and dedication to my main principle of care are my greatest strengths. It is my insistence that I do everything I can to help clients feel better while they are making active changes in their lives over time. I am not here to waste time. I have a crucial interest in doing what I can to best serve my clients so they can seek the improvements they desire.
Ideal clients are self-motivated for care, or at least have a motivated curiosity as to how therapy can help them resolve issues and move forward in their lives. My hope is to find open-minded clients with a willingness to learn and show up for themselves on a regular basis. Clients who maintain consistency and prioritize self-care often are the ones with the best results.
