About me

Hello, I am a licensed mental health counselor. I have lived in Texas, Colorado, Massachusetts and now New Hampshire. I have been practicing for over 25 years. My experience enables me to provide well rounded care. Everyone has a different life experience, different circumstances that brought you to where you are today. We are doing the best we can but sometimes may feel stuck. My approach is to work collaboratively to improve your life experience.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our initial session, we will introduce ourselves, discuss what brought you to therapy, what you want out of therapy and our expectations. We will work together to determine goals and how best meet your needs.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I have experience working with diverse populations in various settings with over 25yrs in the behavioral health field. I have worked in community mental health, with emergency walk-in and mobile crisis teams, outpatient clinics, in hospitals on medical floors and emergency departments. Sharing your story can be difficult and tiresome if you have participated in therapy previously. I understand the importance in building an alliance and creating a safe, nonjudgemental space through trust and respect for you to be able to share yours.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with individuals who are experiencing life and need a little extra support. I appreciate clients who recognize they need help and are willing to put in the effort to address their needs. With an emphasis on building a strong therapeutic relationship and utilizing various techniques we will work to achieve your personal growth goals for you to live your best life.

The way we think about a situation affects how we feel and what we do. If you are experiencing a negative thought or feeling about yourself, that thought can impact your mood and lead to actions that might not be serving you well. We will learn to identify those patterns—especially the ones that happen automatically and feel like you have no control over—and work on reshaping them. This is not about “thinking positive” all the time. It’s more about becoming aware of your thinking and evaluating whether it’s realistic, balanced, and helpful.
