(she/her)
Are you ready to be happy, content and in love with yourself? I am here to help you achieve your goals as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have a bachelors degree in Kinesiology, of which is the study of human movement (sports medicine) from the University of Washington. I also have a Masters degree in Psychology from Antioch University Seattle, WA. My additional credentials include the following: certified clinical supervisor, minority mental health specialist, and certified grief recovery counselor. I’m passionate about providing quality mental health care to my clients. My approach to treatment is typically eclectic, I do not have a specific methodology because I feel clients are multifaceted and several modalities may be required. My key component is trust, after establishing trust in the therapeutic relationship, challenging ineffective beliefs and behaviors evolve organically.
This first session will be the initial assessment, so that I can get to know you and you can begin to feel comfortable and trust that we can achieve our goals together. In our first session, I will introduce myself and you'll have the opportunity to tell me all about yourself. I won't judge. Then, I will help you explore healing modalities. This exploration will involve looking at the different types of options that are available, but also looking at which ones would fit your personality and the goals you've set for yourself.
Since many clients feel a sense of "disloyalty" when seeking help for family issues, include a line like: "Seeking support isn't about being 'disloyal'—it's about being healthy." Do you feel like you’re "managing" your parent instead of having a relationship with them? Body: For many adult children of narcissistic parents, every phone call feels like a tactical mission. You’re constantly scanning for "mood shifts," choosing your words with extreme caution, and dealing with a hangover of guilt long after the conversation ends. It’s exhausting to be the only one trying to keep the peace. I help clients move out of "survival mode" and into a place of emotional autonomy. We focus on: • The "Information Diet": Learning what to share and what to protect. • Boundary Enforcement: How to stay firm when they push back. • De-escalation: Mastering the "Grey Rock" and "Medium Chill" methods. • Guilt-Free Living: Understanding that your peace is not a betrayal. Call to Action: You don’t have to navigate this family minefield alone. Click the link in my bio to schedule a consultation. ________________________________________

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT it is not culturally biased just straight forward and is a skill based approach. These learned skills help change thoughts and actions to work through complex emotions. Clients gain insight into patterns of thinking and behaving that they were not aware of. CBT helps clients to learn to separate rational mind from their emotional and will lean to to integrate them, to create a different pattern of thinking and behavior.
Humanistic
I have been successful with humanistic therapy because I am committed to the following principles: Authenticity, Acceptance, Empathy, and Collaboration. These principles create a safe space for clients to explore their true selves, which leads to a transformative journey of ever-greater self-understanding and self-actualization. In the process of discovery, I draw on other modalities such as family systems, birth order, mindfulness, and reading relevant books.
Grief Therapy
I use grief recovery therapy with my clients, taking into account their values and beliefs. Every culture has its own unique customs and rituals surrounding death and dying. I have worked with clients who have experienced extended grief, including parents who have lost children. Having lost a child myself, I am able to empathize with my clients and support them on their journey of letting go of the blame and shame that often accompanies grief.

Sally just seemed like someone I could talk to and she absolutely was. We shared common situations in life and I am looking forward to talking to her more.
