Hi! I'm Mike, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) from AZ. Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile! I have many years of experience helping individuals heal from both substance use and mental health challenges. I have worked in community mental health and been involved in the 12-step community for many years. Prior to working in mental health, I had a career in accounting. I have a Biblical worldview that inspires and guides me in my work. I have been married since 1997 and raised 4 children. I also have 4 stepchildren, and 14 grandchildren. Boston is my hometown, but I have been living in AZ since 2015. I am a fan of the Patriots, the Celtics, and the Red Sox. I also like Marvel, Rocky and Star Trek movies. Don't be surprised if I throw in an occasional film quote in our sessions! I would love to help you achieve your treatment and/or life goals. I am available for therapy Monday-Thursday 8 AM - 8 PM, and Friday and Saturday 8 AM - 5 PM. If you believe that my skills, experience and approach would benefit you, I would love to hear from you!
In addition to determining the reason you are here in counseling and completing an intake questionnaire, my priorities during the first session is to make a connection with you and to give you hope. In subsequent sessions I will walk along side of you in an authentic, casual, relaxed, direct and educational style. I also use my sense of humor when appropriate.
My greatest strengths include Biblical worldview, integrity, compassion, and ability to connect with people. I am also solution focused and have insight and awareness into people and situations.
