About me

Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I received my Master's in Counseling Psychology in 2016 and have been practicing as a therapist for 9 years. I help clients find peace with the past and learn the skills they need to more forward with renewed confidence and excitement. Everyone deserves happiness, and I will help you find your version of it.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we'll go over any questions you might have about our treatment together and review your responses to the intake questionnaire. From there, we'll discuss the goals you want my help in achieving throughout our work together, which will help us develop a clear framework for how your therapy will look and what you can expect going forward!

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I believe in my ability to make people feel comfortable and safe enough to share their darkest moments with me, while imbuing them with the strength and confidence they need to push through it, all with some humor sprinkled in when needed! (laughter is the best therapy, after all). I am confident that I can pull from my knowledge of different treatment methods to create an approach that is exactly what you are needing each session. Needing someone to be directive and give you practical steps of what to do next? You got it! Needing someone to be gentle with you and let the session just flow while feeling totally supported? I'm here! Need something in the middle? No problem!

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with people who have found therapy as a last resort and aren't sure what "feeling better" will look like, but they are willing to try! I love watching clients transform as they learn life-changing skills and release old patterns that are no longer serving them. Whether they are feeling depressed, anxious, or are struggling with a traumatic experience(s), I am here to help them realize their resilience.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is one of my favorite treatment methods because it combines more directive skill-building with mindfulness practices that help you further examine yourself and what is important to you. You can see results quickly and feel more confident in your ability to deal with whatever life throws at you!

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a staple in many peoples' toolboxes, and there's a good reason! It provides the framework with which we can understand the relationship between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. The better we understand this relationship, the more we are able to practice control over ourselves and see the improvements we are looking for!

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

SFBT is a great choice for those who are looking to get quick results and move on with their lives! It differs from other methods, in that the focus is on what you can do better instead of focusing on what the problem is. This is a great choice for those who have tried other therapists and don't want to have to "tell my whole story all over again!" to someone new.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

The backbone of all therapy, a Person-Centered approach is something I take into every session. This is what allows me to create a safe, loving space for you to just show up as you are, no judgements held. You are free to lead us to where you need to go, and I'll be there as a supportive voice every step of the way.
