My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have several years of experience in using the CBT method while working with children, adolescents and adults in different settings (e.g. schools, hospitals, mental health agencies, etc.). I have used several techniques based on this model which include helping clients identify triggers for trauma or fears, identifying negative thinking patterns and replacing them with positive ones, as well using cognitive restructuring processes to help clients replace negative automatic thoughts or use thought stoppage. In addition, I have found CBT techniques useful to help replace distorted self-talk with more realistic thoughts to help change client’s negative behavior patterns.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I have several years of experience in using the SF-Brief Treatment method (e.g. in schools, hospitals, mental health agencies, etc.). I have found Solution Focused Therapy Brief therapy to be useful in helping clients come up with short term goals and to develop solutions to their problems. This approach is useful because it takes a positive approach to finding solutions and dealing with problems or crises, and I also value the positive approach that it takes. In addition, it helps clients develop problem solving skills that can be applied in other situations in their lives.
