I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who works with children, adolescents, and adults navigating trauma, emotional challenges, and life transitions. I provide a supportive and nonjudgmental space while helping clients build practical skills to manage emotions, improve behaviors, and create meaningful change. My approach is both compassionate and goal-oriented, empowering clients to better understand themselves and move forward with confidence.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we will focus on getting to know you and understanding what brought you to therapy. You can expect a supportive and nonjudgmental space where you can share at your own pace. I will ask questions to better understand your experiences, goals, and any challenges you may be facing. Together, we will begin identifying areas to focus on and discuss a plan that feels comfortable and meaningful for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is my ability to create a warm, supportive environment while also helping clients make meaningful progress. I balance compassion with a goal-oriented approach, providing both emotional support and practical tools. I have experience working with trauma, behavioral challenges, and substance use, which allows me to meet clients where they are and tailor treatment to their unique needs. I also incorporate creative and interactive techniques, especially with children and adolescents, to make therapy engaging and effective.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with children, adolescents, and young adults who are navigating trauma, emotional or behavioral challenges, and life transitions. My ideal clients may feel overwhelmed, struggle with emotional regulation, or have difficulty expressing themselves. I also support individuals working through past experiences, building coping skills, and creating positive, lasting change. I value working with clients who are open to growth and ready to explore new ways of understanding themselves.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients make sense of how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. In sessions, we work together to identify patterns that may be keeping them stuck and replace them with healthier, more helpful ways of thinking. I focus on creating a supportive space while also teaching practical skills clients can use outside of session to manage stress, regulate emotions, and feel more in control.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help clients focus on their strengths and build on what is already working in their lives. Instead of staying stuck in problems, we work together to identify goals, small steps, and practical solutions that create meaningful change. This approach is especially helpful for clients who want to feel more empowered and see progress in a shorter amount of time.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I use Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to support clients, especially youth, in processing and healing from traumatic experiences. I help clients understand how trauma impacts their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while teaching coping skills to manage distress. Sessions are paced in a safe and supportive way, allowing clients to build emotional regulation skills, increase a sense of safety, and gradually process difficult experiences.

Gestalt

I incorporate Gestalt Therapy techniques to help clients increase self-awareness and better understand their present-moment experiences. This approach often includes experiential exercises, such as the empty chair technique, to explore unresolved feelings, internal conflicts, and relationships. I use these interventions to help clients process emotions, gain insight, and move toward healing and personal growth.
