New to Grow
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over five years of experience providing therapeutic services in both in-patient and out-patient mental health settings. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals experiencing acute crises as well as those navigating ongoing mental health challenges. My goal as a clinician is to assist individuals in shifting their perspectives, strengthening insight, and identifying appropriate, practical solutions for managing both everyday stressors and extraordinary life difficulties. I am committed to creating a supportive, client-centered environment where individuals feel heard and empowered. I focus not only on fostering meaningful personal growth, but also on helping clients establish and maintain that growth to support long-term emotional well-being and resilience.
During our first session, I focus on creating a welcoming and supportive environment where we can begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. I start with introductions and provide an overview of the counseling process, including confidentiality and what to expect moving forward. I invite you to share what has brought you to therapy at this time, exploring your reasons for seeking support and any goals you may have. We will also discuss the history and development of your present-day struggles to gain a clearer understanding of patterns, triggers, and contributing factors. This initial session is designed to help me better understand your experiences while ensuring you feel heard, respected, and comfortable as we begin our work together.
I am a clinician who takes a solution-oriented approach to therapy, focusing on helping individuals identify practical strategies to address the challenges they face. I believe in working collaboratively with clients to define clear goals, build on their existing strengths, and develop actionable steps that promote meaningful change. My approach is grounded in fostering hope, resilience, and confidence so individuals can move forward with clarity and purpose.
I welcome and provide services to individuals across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations, as well as couples and families. My practice is committed to offering a supportive and respectful therapeutic environment that meets clients where they are developmentally, emotionally, and relationally, while tailoring care to the unique needs of each individual, couple, or family system. I work collaboratively with clients who are ready and motivated to engage in the therapeutic process and make meaningful, lasting changes in their lives and relationships. This includes individuals and families seeking to improve emotional well-being, strengthen communication, enhance coping skills, navigate life transitions, address mental health concerns, and foster healthier relational patterns. My approach is grounded in the belief that positive change is most effective when clients are actively engaged and invested in growth. I strive to support each person, and each relationship system, in building insight, developing practical tools, and working toward personally and relationally meaningful goals in a way that promotes resilience, stability, and long-term well-being.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is used in my practice to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and make meaningful behavioral changes that improve emotional well-being and overall functioning.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is integrated into my practice to help clients build practical skills in emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness. I use DBT-informed interventions to support clients in managing intense emotions, reducing maladaptive behaviors, and improving relationships, while balancing acceptance and change to promote long-term stability and resilience.
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational Interviewing (MI) is used in my practice as a collaborative, client-centered approach to help individuals explore and resolve ambivalence about change. By using open-ended questions, reflective listening, and affirmations, I support clients in identifying their own motivations, strengthening commitment to their goals, and increasing confidence in their ability to make meaningful behavioral changes.
