I lean on a humanistic and strength based style. I offer a warm and compassionate space to explore your emotional landscape so that you can focus on things like gaining insight, processing difficult memories, or maybe finding a more balanced communication with your nervous system. I strive to be the type of therapist that is always learning and growing. In my free time, I love to enjoy the outdoors, read, bike, and drink a cozy cup of tea,

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, you can expect me to give you the opportunity to share what brought you to therapy. I'll ask about the history you feel comfortable sharing about yourself. You'll have the opportunity to ask any questions you might have for me and our work together. Most importantly, we'll start to create the building blocks for trust and comfort, however that looks for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

This is my passion and I'd like to think that shows! I am honored to be invited into your life and do not take that lightly. I am looking forward to working together!

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I lean on my experience working with clients aged 5 to 75 on goals related to life changes, family dynamics, trauma, depression, anxiety, relationships, ADHD, and more. I find it meaningful to look at the systems that a person exists within to gain insight. As we move through life, the systems we find ourselves in are not always good to us, and we need to protect ourselves. I see my role as a therapist as a balancing act of allowing someone to keep the armor that feels protective, while making them feel safe enough to identify the parts of that armor that isn't serving them anymore. Anger, avoidance, guilt, shame, distractions, or a dysregulated nervous system might have helped you survive for awhile. Maybe now you're ready to figure out whats getting in the way of aligning to your ideal self or having the relationships you want with yourself and others.

CBT is a great tool to increase skills in challenging thought patterns that no longer serve us.

Couples Counseling

Let's gain insight into the patterns that are no longer serving the relationship.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is really helpful to gain frustration tolerance in order to better manage triggers.
