About me

Welcome – I'm glad you're here. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner (LSATP), and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) with 27 years of experience helping children, teens, and adults navigate life’s challenges and discover their inner strength. My approach is grounded in the belief that every person has the potential for growth, healing, and meaningful change. I use a humanistic framework that includes Gestalt and Existential therapy, along with person-centered, mind-body, and trauma-informed practices. Together, we’ll work to increase your awareness, strengthen your sense of freedom and direction, and support your journey toward self-discovery and fulfillment. I see therapy as a collaborative process where you are the expert on your life. My role is to walk alongside you with compassion, curiosity, and respect—helping you uncover your capacity to grow, heal, and thrive.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and see if we’re a good fit. I’ll ask some questions about your background, important life experiences, and what’s bringing you to therapy right now. We’ll also talk about what you hope to get out of counseling—your goals, concerns, and what feels most important to you. This session is as much for you as it is for me—to make sure that my approach aligns with your needs and that you feel comfortable moving forward. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can begin your journey toward growth and healing.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

With 27 years of experience working with children, teens, adults, and families across a wide range of settings—including outpatient therapy, community-based services, prevention programs, and inpatient care—I bring a deep understanding of both mental health and substance use challenges. I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches tailored to your unique needs, always with compassion at the core of my work. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and truly heard—a place where healing and growth can begin.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

You have the strength within you—let’s uncover it together. I’m here to support you in discovering your full potential—not by focusing solely on symptoms, but by focusing on you. Together, we’ll work to identify and release limiting beliefs and assumptions, and explore how you can find meaning, even in life’s most difficult moments. My approach is rooted in authenticity, responsibility, and deep respect for your unique journey. I believe that by embracing who you truly are, accepting yourself fully, and taking empowered steps forward, you can experience real growth and lasting freedom. Let me walk alongside you—reminding you of your inner strength, helping you reconnect with your values, and supporting you as you move toward a life of purpose, self-awareness, and healing.
