About me

Hi! I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker. I have over 15 years of experience in a variety of settings such as hospitals, non-profit agencies, hospice care, and private practice. I received my master's degree from Case Western Reserve University. As someone who has engaged in therapy, I understand the importance of the client and therapist acting as allies in the healing journey. We have all of the tools we need within to evolve into a healthier and more fulfilled person. I will assist you by encouraging improvements in how you feel about your life and how you relate to others.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we'll start with a brief introduction, and then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. We will work together to create a tailored plan for us through follow-up sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Having worked with individuals for the past 15 years I am dedicated to helping you identify the root causes of your challenges. I will work with you to create a plan specific to your needs that leads to measurable progress.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with individuals who have a desire for growth and change, want to develop an improved sense of responsibility or accountability, feel that their attitude or perspectives could improve, and feel they want and can be a better person in one or more aspects. I believe everyone has a natural inclination to fulfill their potential using their strengths and motivation. I want to be that person who helps you reach your full potential.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ve been using CBT in my practice for fifteen years. CBT helps clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.

Interpersonal

I have utilized IPT for many years. IPT helps people to identify and resolve interpersonal problems, such as conflicts, role transitions, grief, and interpersonal deficits. IPT is based on the idea that interpersonal distress can cause or worsen psychological symptoms and that improving interpersonal functioning can reduce distress and enhance well-being.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I have utilized the Person-centered approach for 15 years. Person-centered is also known as client-centered psychotherapy. This is a type of therapy that consists of the client's self-discovery and understanding of themselves. We will work together to empathetically understand and accept your frame of mind. This sets you up for personality growth. This type of therapy helps you see yourself more clearly and be in touch with your true self. We will work together to help you resolve conflicts, reorganize your values and approaches to life, and teach you to interpret your thoughts and feelings. This is meant to help you change behavior that you believe is interfering with your mental health.
