About me

I have 19 years of experience as a therapist and social worker. I use a strengths-based, client-centered approach and I believe psychotherapy is an effective tool in helping people overcome fears, anxiety, depression, and maladaptive patterns and behaviors. I strive to help clients tap into strengths they didn't know they had and form positive relationships.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, I conduct some intake questions to gather family history, health concerns, and mental health treatment history. Then we address what brings you to therapy and what outcomes you hope to achieve in working together. I formulate a treatment plan and we set a treatment schedule to begin the work.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Some of my greatest strengths are teaching coping skills to reduce anxiety and depression and helping you examine patterns throughout your lifetime of old behaviors that no longer serve you. You can expect to receive support during life transitions and discover strengths you did not know lie inside you. I'm here to help you become your best version of yourself.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with both men and women undergoing life transitions such as starting out in new careers and relationships. I most enjoy working to help couples develop positive communication and to work through relationship difficulties. I have helped families improve communication and set effective boundaries. I also enjoy helping support and coach new parents of infants and young children.
