(she/her)
Are you caught in cycles of persistent worry, feeling mentally exhausted and unsure how to quiet your mind? Feeling lost after a traumatic experience? Struggling with unresolved grief—or grieving the loss of a beloved pet and feeling misunderstood? These challenges can leave you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, and uncertain about where to go from here. Whether you're navigating difficult emotions, healing from the past, or simply seeking clarity about your next steps, I’m here to walk alongside you on your path to healing, growth, and self-discovery. My name is Ebony Yelder (she/her/hers), and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience in the field of counseling and psychiatric services. I’ve had the privilege of working in diverse settings—including behavioral health hospitals, outpatient clinics, emergency rooms, in-home therapy, and with the Department of Defense supporting service members and their families. I believe therapy is a shared journey where your voice and experiences guide the process. I’m dedicated to helping individuals tap into their inner strengths and resilience. Together, we’ll recognize what’s working, explore what’s not, and create a meaningful path toward the life you envision. More about me: https://www.pathtoflourishcounseling.com/
During our first session time is spent discussing why you are presenting for therapy and what you would like to achieve. In addition, we will discuss background information that is valuable in providing a foundation for our work together. This is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions that they may have.
While I primarily use Positive Psychology, Narrative and Solution Focused Therapy approaches, I also subscribe to the belief that the therapeutic process should be individualized and not a one size fits all treatment modality. Every person is unique with whom at times can be faced with exceptional challenges causing significant emotional distress.
My experience across a variety of settings has positioned me to be able to support my client’s regardless of where they are on their self-care journey. I am dedicated to helping my clients get to the core of what is holding them back and work to help them rewrite their narrative while bringing to the surface the light that has been dimmed.
I work with LGBTQ+ individuals, young adults navigating life transitions, and people seeking to take the next step in their personal journey. I support those looking to rediscover themselves, build confidence, and create meaningful change. I also support individuals experiencing grief and loss, offering a steady, compassionate setting to process emotions, heal, and move forward at a pace that feels right.

First session was so amazing. Genuine connection and very solution oriented. I am looking forward to future sessions.

Ebony has made JUST as great of an impact on me even within our first two sessions as my first therapist who was hard to top! She leaves space for me to talk as she actively listens, she doesn’t force “fake optimism” on me and also isn’t harsh with her feedback or responses. Even when she does give me something to process she holds space in the conversation for me to do so. I’ve definitely learned so much from her in such a short amount of time!

I felt heard, felt comfortable and didn’t feel rushed to talk.
