About me

My name is Julia and I've been practicing in the Social Work field for 12 plus years. I am licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida and Virgnia. I've received both my Bachelors and Masters in Social Work from Florida State University. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In the first session, we'll share brief introductions, discuss current concerns/issues you are facing/battling. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Having worked with various populations through my career, I've developed a tried-and-true playbook for helping you (a) identify the root cause of your challenges and (b) create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I have experience in a range of populations including Veterans, Teenagers, Crisis, Autism, work related stress, health related stress, caregiver support/burnout and many more.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is used as "solutions-oriented" form of talk therapy". CBT aiming to identify harmful thoughts, assess whether they are an accurate depiction of reality, and, if they are not, employ strategies to challenge and overcome them.

Strength-Based

Talk therapy that guides you toward a retelling of your personal history of traumas, stressors, and pain with more emphasis on yourself as a survivor than as a victim, and more emphasis on your strengths and survival skills than on your weakness.

Motivational Interviewing

counseling method that helps people resolve ambivalent feelings and insecurities to find the internal motivation they need to change their behavior. It is a practical, empathetic, and short-term process that takes into consideration how difficult it is to make life changes.
