About me

My approach to providing therapy is relationship-based and holistic. I use a mixture of techniques uniquely tailored to each individual and their struggles. My goal is to help increase your resiliency, support you in clearing hurdles, and build on the strengths you already have within you to reach a better state of wellness. My areas of interest and experience include supporting those struggling with systemic and judicial oppression, trauma, depression, anxiety, family stress, mood disorders, ADHD, and life transitions. I use techniques from CBT/DBT, mindfulness, attachment theory, Brainspotting, neuroscience, and psychodynamic exploration. My guidance and approach are deeply shaped by the perspective I have gained throughout my time living in Texas, Florida, Chicago, and California as well as working with individuals across different cultures and socio-economic classes. I deeply value self-care and autonomy and seek to help my clients find their inner strength. Your past experiences, whether they be successes or failures, do not define who you are, and I’m excited to help you become the best version of yourself.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

They can expect to be received with empathy, warmth and genuineness. They can expect to be heard and seen. I will explain why I do this work, how I do this work, and share some of my own personal experiences with therapy. I will ask many questions to gain a better understanding of the person and the challenges they are facing.

The treatment methods and tools I utilize

Therapy is not a one size fits all process so I use a variety of methods to support my clients' needs. I use CBT to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. I use DBT to help client learn distress tolerance, mindfulness, and resiliency. I use Brainspotting and trauma-informed care to help clients overcome traumatic experiences. I work hard to create a safe space and a trusting relationship so that my clients can show up to sessions at their best and at their worst while knowing they will be supported.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am deeply passionate about therapy, mental health, and self-empowerment. I love learning new ways to support my clients and help them improve their lives. I'm open and transparent with my clients while being supportive and pushing them to grow.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with adults of color and young adults who are suffering from anxiety, trauma, depression, attachment, and relationship issues, and I love working with healthcare providers, teachers, and other disciplines of healers.
