About me

I am a dedicated mental health professional with a Doctorate in Behavioral Health, a Master of Social Work, and over seven years of experience supporting individuals on their journey to healing and resilience. As a combat Air Force Veteran, I understand firsthand the challenges many face, and I am honored to support both veterans and civilians in navigating life’s complexities. My therapeutic approach is compassionate, integrative, and holistic, combining evidence-based techniques with practices like meditation and Yoga Nidra to promote emotional well-being. I believe in creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel empowered to explore their unique experiences and strengths. Whether you're seeking support for stress, trauma, or personal growth, I am here to help you build resilience and find balance. Together, we can work toward healing and inner peace.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we will take the time to explore your unique journey, challenges, and goals. I will ask questions about your personal history, current concerns, and any past therapy experiences to ensure our work together is tailored to your needs. This session is also an opportunity to introduce different therapeutic approaches that may align with your interests. Together, we will set clear, realistic objectives and develop a plan that feels right for you. Most importantly, this is a safe, welcoming space where you can share openly as we build a strong foundation of trust and collaboration.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

1. Empathy and Compassion: As a combat Veteran and experienced mental health professional, I bring deep empathy, understanding, and compassion to clients, especially those with trauma or high-stress backgrounds. 2. Integrative Healing Approach: I am certified in Reiki and Integrated Amrit Method (I AM) Yoga Nidra, alongside my clinical expertise, this enables me to offer a unique blend of holistic and evidence-based therapies, supporting clients in finding healing through multiple pathways. 3. Insight into Trauma and Resilience: I have firsthand experience with complexities of trauma and PTSD which allows me to deeply connect with clients facing similar struggles, offering them a safe space and a pathway to resilience. 4. Commitment to Personal Growth: I am dedicated to continuous learning and development in mental health and wellness; translating to a dynamic and evolving practice that stays responsive to client's needs. 5. Client-Centered Approach: I prioritize understanding each client's unique experiences, creating a therapeutic relationship that values their individual needs, perspectives, and goals.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I specialize in working with clients facing complex mental health challenges, including trauma, anxiety, depression, addictions, and PTSD. I am also experienced in supporting individuals with serious mental illness, such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and bipolar disorder, as well as those in high-stress careers or similar backgrounds. My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients recognize how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. Together, we identify unhelpful thought patterns, challenge cognitive distortions, and replace them with more balanced perspectives. By reinforcing these changes with practical tools like thought records and worksheets, clients gain long-term strategies for managing emotions and improving well-being.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

With CPT, I support clients in processing trauma by identifying and challenging "stuck points" — rigid beliefs that contribute to PTSD symptoms. Through structured exercises, we reframe these beliefs, helping clients reduce distress, reconnect with others, and regain a sense of control over their lives. This approach fosters resilience and empowers clients to move forward with confidence.

Integrative

I incorporate holistic practices like Yoga Nidra and meditation alongside traditional therapy to support the mind-body connection. These techniques promote relaxation, reduce stress, and enhance emotional regulation, complementing trauma-focused work for a more comprehensive healing experience.

Psychoeducation

By providing clients with knowledge about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies, I empower them to take an active role in their healing. Understanding their experiences helps reduce stigma, build confidence, and foster a collaborative therapeutic relationship.
