(she/her)
I’m a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor with a passion for helping people feel seen, supported, and empowered. I hold a Master of Arts in Counseling with an emphasis in Trauma, Abuse, and Deprivation from Ottawa University, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Arizona State University. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with children, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, individuals living with HIV, human trafficking survivors, and the neurodivergent community. My approach is integrative and tailored to each person’s needs, drawing from CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), LGBTQ-affirmative CBT, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), art therapy, play therapy, music therapy, and mindfulness practices. I’m deeply committed to making behavioral health care accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds. It means so much when clients tell me that our sessions are their safe space. I’m grateful to be able help bridge gaps for communities that have often been marginalized or hesitant to seek support. Outside of my work, I’m a wife and mom of two amazing kids. I love horror movies, eating potstickers and dumplings, and going to concerts whenever I can. Top concerts I've been to have to be My Chemical Romance, Ramon Ayala, Chappel Roan, and RBD (Rebelde). In our first session, you can expect a welcoming space to share what feels important to you while we also take care of the necessary paperwork. This initial appointment is a bit more structured as we review consent forms, confidentiality, and other important policies. I’ll also go over your intake forms and ask follow-up questions to better understand your goals and needs. While this session may feel more formal, future sessions are much more client-led allowing you to set the pace and focus on what matters most to you.
I believe therapy should feel safe, supportive, and human. My greatest strength as a therapist is creating a space where you can show up as your authentic self whether that means laughing, crying, or simply being heard. I bring warmth, humor, and have been told I bring a little bit of “tia vibes” into my sessions. My goal is for you to want to come to therapy, knowing this is your space to grow, reflect, and heal. I will walk alongside you with compassion and care offering guidance every step of the way as we work together toward meaningful change.
My ideal client is someone who values a therapist who is both direct, collaborative, and compassionate. I believe in honesty and transparency. You’ll always know where you stand with me. I lead with care and respect but strive not to sugarcoat as we work through difficult topics. If you’re willing to show up and do the work, I’ll meet you there with full commitment and support.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a structured and collaborative form of psychotherapy that focuses on identifying and changing unhelpful thought patterns, behaviors, and emotional responses in order to promote healthier and more adaptive coping strategies. I frequently utilize this approach because of its practical, hands-on nature and its effectiveness in supporting meaningful change.
EMDR
I specialize in EMDR therapy with LGBTQIA2S+ communities, neurodivergent individuals, and Black, Brown, and Indigenous communities. These communities are especially meaningful to me as a neurodivergent Latina, as I understand the importance of having a care team that reflects and affirms one’s identities. I have witnessed the profound impact EMDR can have in helping clients move through trauma-related stuck points, and I am honored to support and guide them through that healing process.
Integrative
Integrative therapy is a flexible, personalized approach to psychotherapy that combines techniques from multiple evidence-based modalities to best meet each client’s unique needs. Every individual’s experiences and story are different, and for that reason I do not take a one-size-fits-all approach to treatment. Instead, I tailor therapy by thoughtfully blending methods that align with your goals, strengths, and circumstances. Approaches I commonly draw from include Internal Family Systems (IFS), Psychodynamic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness-based therapy helps individuals disengage from negative and ruminative thought patterns by cultivating present-moment, nonjudgmental awareness. I incorporate this approach by teaching and practicing practical skills during sessions that clients can apply outside of therapy when needed.
Trauma-Focused CBT
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is designed to support children and adolescents experiencing emotional or behavioral difficulties related to trauma, including PTSD, abuse, loss, or grief. This approach integrates cognitive-behavioral strategies, psychoeducation, and collaborative parent-child sessions to strengthen emotional regulation, reduce trauma-related distress, and build healthy coping skills. Parenting can be hard, and being a kid can be hard too. I provide guidance and support to help families navigate difficult conversations, strengthen relationships, and move toward healing and repair together
