About me

I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina, passionate about walking alongside people as they work through life’s challenges. With over 14 years in the mental health field, and three years as a licensed LCMHC—including work in acute psychiatric settings, community mental health, and specialized eating disorder programs—I bring both expertise and empathy to the therapeutic process. I work with teens, and adults, and tailor each session to meet your unique needs.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Although your intake paperwork provides me with helpful background information, our first session is primarily focused on getting to know you and gaining a deeper understanding of what has brought you to therapy. We’ll discuss your current concerns, personal history, and any relevant life experiences that may be impacting your well-being. Together, we will begin identifying your goals for therapy and outlining a plan to help you achieve them. This session is also a space for you to ask questions, share what you need to feel supported, and determine if my style and approach feel like a good fit for your therapeutic journey. My aim is to ensure you feel heard, understood, and comfortable as we begin this process together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths as a therapist include creating a nonjudgmental space, offering genuine empathy, and incorporating a touch of humor when it feels clinically appropriate. I believe therapy works best when you can show up exactly as you are, without fear of criticism or shame. My role is to walk alongside you—offering guidance, insight, and encouragement—as you build resilience, strengthen your coping skills, and move toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I welcome clients from all backgrounds and have a special passion for increasing access to care for minority communities. I enjoy working with individuals facing anxiety, stress, communication struggles, parenting challenges, divorce, relationship concerns, grief, work pressures, time management difficulties, church-related hurt, and disordered eating. My approach is flexible and collaborative, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and other evidence-based methods to create a plan that feels personalized to you. Together, we’ll focus on building skills, strengthening your resilience, and finding a path forward that aligns with your values and goals.
