About me

Are you grieving the loss of a loved one? Are you an LGBTQ youth or teen struggling with surviving in an unkind world? Are you an adult child faced with the changes or declining health of an elderly parent? Or simply a person trying to create a life of meaning and purpose? Congratulations on taking this important step to care for yourself. I believe that your current pain—anxiety, overwhelm, confusion, or grief—is a messenger, inviting you to find your way back to that healing Self that lives inside you, and I will provide you with a safe and compassionate space for this exploration. Beyond conversation therapy, I use dream study, journaling, body awareness, mindfulness, art, and movement to help you experience your own wholeness. I am committed that our work together will lead you to increased happiness, confidence, and a renewed passion for life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My years of work as a Hospice social worker as well as my own sudden widowhood have given me a depth of experience in how to deal with grief, loss, and end of life issues. As an LGBTQ-identified person and the parent of a transgender child, I bring a passion for working with LGBTQ people and their families. I am also a published author and a dancer, and am fascinated with how the creative arts (writing, visual art, and movement) can empower us in life's journey.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

LGBTQ, grief/loss, elder-care issues, young adults, creatives. Individuals only (I don't provide couples or family therapy).
