Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Clients can expect a unique and personalized experience during their first psychotherapy session. Clients will have the opportunity to share why they sought therapy and what issues or challenges they are facing. Together we will discuss the process of treatment and formulate a plan.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I have been in practice for many years and have worked with several individuals, families and couples successfully. I truly enjoy connecting and supporting those whom I work with. I believe in focusing on every individual's strength and working together to create a plan together to achieve the best possible progress.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Trust is essential for a successful therapeutic relationship. I enjoy working with clients who feel comfortable with the me and trust the therapeutic process, allowing them to share sensitive or difficult issues in a safe and supportive space. I also look for clients who are motivated to change and are active participants in their treatment.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

In Attachment-Based Therapy, the therapeutic process emphasizes the role of attachment bonds in an individual's emotional well-being, behavior, and relational patterns. In therapy I aim to work with individuals or families to identify and address disruptions in attachment, often stemming from early experiences of neglect, trauma, or inconsistent caregiving. The goal is to help clients develop or strengthen secure attachment patterns—healthy, trusting relationships with themselves and others. Attachment based therapy helps clients understand the emotional responses tied to attachment needs and work on strategies to regulate emotions in healthy ways.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

EFT helps individuals understand how early attachment experiences (with parents or primary caregivers) shape their current emotional responses and relationships. By understanding these patterns, individuals can begin to heal past wounds and form more secure attachments in the present. EFT encourages individuals to become more aware of their emotions, especially the vulnerable ones that may have been suppressed (e.g., sadness, fear, or loneliness). The therapy helps individuals process these emotions in healthy ways. EFT can also help individuals change negative self-beliefs (such as feelings of worthlessness or fear of abandonment) by fostering self-compassion and increasing emotional regulation.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a type of psychotherapy that focuses on helping individuals identify and challenge negative thought patterns and behaviors, with the goal of changing those patterns to improve emotional regulation and problem-solving. It is based on the concept that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected, and that by changing our negative thinking, we can change how we feel and behave. I use CBT in my practice for my clients to help to identify and challenge their cognitive distortions. We can also work together to develop more balanced and realistic ways of thinking.
