(she/her)
Hello! My name is Bridgett Sullivan, and I'm glad you're here. My areas of specialty include grief, loss, post-traumatic stress, depression and anxiety. Over the years, I've supported adolescents, adults of all ages, couples, and families as they've faced challenges and found their way through. It is a privilege to witness clients move beyond 'survival mode' and start thriving again.
My approach is client-centered. The modalities I use include trauma-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, psychodynamic, and solution-focused methods. I receive referrals from medical practitioners, former clients, educators, and other counselors. You will leave your first session with practical tools and resources that you can use right now.
Before becoming a counselor, I worked for many years as a teacher, school and college counselor. I am very good at quickly developing rapport and helping clients feel more at ease. I have advanced training in trauma-focused therapy and EMDR. Clients tell me that they appreciate the many, varied resources I share with them to use outside of our sessions.
In my office, I welcome adults of all ages, backgrounds, and orientations. Clients appreciate my open, kind, compassionate, and direct style. I offer free 20-minute introductory sessions so you can ask questions and see if we are a good fit.
