Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I offer a steady, supportive space where you can learn to communicate more effectively, regulate emotions, and create stability for each client. My goal is to help you feel calmer, safer, and more connected, even when the situation around you is challenging.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I have been in the field for over 7 years and have experience with different types of clients especially neurodivergent clients. Through a compassionate and supportive approach, I incorporate inner child work to help clients heal past wounds, build self-awareness, and develop healthier emotional patterns.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

I believe that all of us have strengths that sometimes we are not even aware of. I have found that these strengths are important to build on in therapy.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I provide an evidenced-based eclectic model of therapy, that puts you in the drivers seat. I create a calm, supportive space for individuals navigating anxiety and depression. My approach helps you build emotional balance, strengthen coping skills, and reconnect with a sense of peace and confidence. Together, we’ll work toward lasting relief and a more grounded, fulfilling life. This background supports individual therapy as many people present to therapy with relational issues. I am so glad you are here!

Psychoeducation

Many clients benefit from psychoeducation. Many times issues are caused because the client is unaware of the dynamics of mental illness, child development, or a specific disease process. Educating them on what to expect can greatly impact their understanding and acceptance.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another. Through a supportive and person-centered approach, I help clients identify unhelpful thinking patterns, develop healthier coping skills, and build practical strategies to manage anxiety, depression, stress, and life challenges. My goal is to help clients feel empowered, self-aware, and more confident in creating lasting positive change.

Warm, open and understanding. Today was about getting to know each other sort of what is the issue and what to hone in on. Next time we can formulate a plan.

This was my first session with Leah but I absolutely adore her! She didn’t make me feel bad or awkward about what’s going on in my life. She made me feel heard! I would def recommend her and I’m looking forward to future sessions!
