(She/her)
Hi, I’m Amanda, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I try to help people make sense of their patterns, work through trauma, and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives. My style is honest, supportive, and pretty down-to-earth. We’ll focus on what you want to work on, at a pace that feels manageable. Together, we’ll look at what’s been keeping you stuck, whether that’s old wounds, relationship dynamics, or habits that don’t serve you anymore. From there, we’ll find ways to move forward that feel realistic and aligned with who you are. You can expect a mix of insight, compassion, and directness from me. My goal is for you to leave sessions feeling more clear, more grounded, and more connected to yourself.
In our first session we will do the required assessment, get to know each other and focus on what you want to work on. The first session is mostly about getting to know you. We’ll talk about what’s been going on, what brought you here, and what you’re hoping might feel different in your life.
I’m a therapist who really values building genuine rapport. I put a lot of effort into building a strong, real connection with my clients so you can feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are. My style blends honesty, warmth, and a bit of humor. I’ll meet you with compassion, but I’m also not afraid to be direct when it’s helpful. Together, we’ll look at the patterns that keep showing up, work through challenges, and find ways to create change that feels both meaningful and doable. I use a mix of evidence-based approaches depending on what fits you best. This includes EMDR for processing trauma, CBT to help shift unhelpful thought patterns, DBT for building coping and emotional regulation skills, and Structural Therapy to better understand and improve relationship dynamics. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach—therapy should feel tailored to you and what you need.
I work best with clients that are used to a relaxed flow in therapy. I really enjoy strong therapeutic alliances with my clients and appreciate when my client are willing to be challenged. I work well with family dynamics, couples and individuals that feel like change is imperative to their well being and will enhance their lives and relationships. I work well with past trauma, mood disorders, personality disorders, family conflict, infidelity in couples and can show up fully in session.
