My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT's premise is that our thoughts influence our emotions and actions, and by augmenting thought patterns, we can bring about significant changes in our emotional well-being and behavior. I use this modality to simply help improve quality of life related to such disorders as depression, anxiety and PTSD. We will focus on the present which will allow the teaching of practical strategies to help people understand their disorders. This form of treatment can be as effective as medication.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is a type of psychotherapy that can help people with an array of mental health conditions, including those that involve difficulty regulating emotions. We can use DBT to improve quality of life and increase interpersonal effectiveness. Through mindfulness, we can begin to emotionally regulate while under distress, all of which can reduce self-destructive behaviors.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is used to treat psychological trauma and other adverse life experiences by helping patients process memories and feelings while desensitizing disturbance levels. With EMDR, we will begin to reduce the power of memories and how they are stored in the brain. By utilizing this modality, we can begin to repair your trauma's mental injuries as a result of traumatic experiences.
