About me

Hello! I'm a LICSW with over 20 years of experience working in mental health. I earned my degree from the University of Minnesota. My approach is empathetic, non judgemental and solution focused. I have worked with people both long term and short term depending on needs. You know yourself best, my job is to help you make your life the best.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

First sessions are a great opportunity to get to know you and what you are hoping to achieve in therapy. We can then jump right in and start working together on a plan to meet your needs and goals.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My many years of professional and personal experiences in mental health have allowed me approach therapy in a very person centered manner.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Life is hard and having support can make a huge difference in our lives. Whether it's major life changes or more chronic feelings that are holding you back, change can happen. I work with adults that know they want to feel better and make changes but need some tools and support to get there.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

I believe we all have inherent strengths and when cultivated can make a big difference in our lives.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a great therapeutic approach to adjust our thinking and behaviors to create a more more emotionally balanced life.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Sometimes we just need things on our life to get better quickly. Perhaps some decisions need to be made or changes are needed. Solution based therapy allows us to focus on the now and what we can control to make needed changes and feel better.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Sometimes we just need to change what we can and accept what we cannot. ACT allows us to be more thoughtful of our feelings and to be kinder to ourselves.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

ERP can be transformative for phobias, OCD and anxiety. A safe and structured process to help people overcome their fears.
