About me

Do you find yourself struggling with feeling heard or being able to be fully present in the moment? Each person deserves the space to be heard, a place where they can be their authentic self. I want to understand and help you work through any events or concerns that have caused you to seek out therapy. Whether you are struggling with feeling anxious, not wanting to get out of bed or do the things that you used to enjoy or have experienced a loss. Together we can identify what you need in order to live a more fulfilled life. Seeking therapy can be a scary move and many people often feel that they have lost themselves so give yourself credit for making the first step! I enter each session ready to provide you with empathy, my undivided attention, and that safe space so that you can overcome whatever challenges brought you here.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Through my personal experiences with counseling, I have learned the importance of establishing trust in my sessions. I approach my sessions with the understanding that every individual’s story is unique. This means that my clients can expect me to be invested in getting to know their story. In getting to know what is going on for them and what is making things unmanageable in the moment. It is my belief that the client-therapist relationship can foster safety, trust, and the space for change.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My biggest strength is helping you feel comfortable with going through this counseling process. I have a down to earth personality and understand from first hand experience how hard it can be to open up to someone with your most intimate experiences. I truly strive to give you the safe space that you need to work on your goals. The most common areas that my clients have been seeing me for are: anxiety or depression, processing the pandemic, struggling with feeling unsafe in our current world, dealing with overcoming infidelity, experiencing post partum or prenatal anxiety/ depression, grief/loss and caregiver burnout. Regardless of what brings you to see me, my main priority is to be present with you so that you know you are not alone and we will work on this together.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

All of the techniques that I use are tailored to my clients. CBT is commonly used to bring awareness to the thoughts that can cause us to feel consumed by anxiety or depression, amongst other conditions. I work with the client to help identify their emotions and thoughts and reframe it.

Relational

Many of our internal messages are created from the relationships that we have encountered throughout our years. By using this perspective, it helps bring an understanding of where our negative cycles can come from and then how to break that cycle/pattern.
