I’m a Missouri-licensed therapist with 19 years of experience. My style is warm, inviting, and deeply accepting—I meet you where you are and celebrate the courage it takes to show up. I lean on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to build awareness of how your life experiences shape today’s thoughts, feelings, and responses. For 15 years I’ve supported active-duty service members and their families, and I’ve also worked in schools—experiences that taught me to listen closely, honor each person’s story, and tailor care to your unique needs. I’m an ordained clergy member and can integrate a faith-based perspective when that feels meaningful for you, while also offering a safe space to process spirituality or church hurt.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I’ll begin by thanking you for taking care of you. We’ll use our first moments to get to know the amazing individual that is you—your family background, work, key experiences, and what brings you to therapy now. I focus on building rapport and creating a space where you feel seen and safe to share. I’ll also explain how I work and introduce tools for self-discovery that foster self-awareness, because understanding yourself is essential to well-being. Together, we’ll start clarifying goals and the kind of support that will help most.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I approach every human encounter with unconditional positive regard. Clients experience me as steady, encouraging, and practical. With a CBT lens, I help you translate insight into change—elevating self-awareness, defining self-worth, and building confidence in how you navigate life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work well with people who are ready to do the work of growth. I’m experienced with relationship concerns, anger management, motivation, self-esteem and confidence, grief and loss, and career challenges. I also support service members, veterans, and their loved ones. If you’d like, we can thoughtfully integrate Christian, faith-based counseling; if not, we’ll focus on what serves you best.
