New to Grow
Relationships shape who we are, but they don't have to dictate who we become. I specialize in helping individuals break generational cycles, process childhood trauma, and build healthy, secure relationships at every stage of life. Whether you grew up in a complex family dynamic, are struggling to set boundaries without guilt, or are navigating the deep grief and role shifts that come with aging family members, I offer a grounded and practical path forward. My clinical background spans acute crisis care with active-duty military and veterans—giving me deep insight into operational stress and emotional walls—as well as specialized work in family systems, foster/adoptive dynamics, and adult grief. Together, we will examine your relational blueprint, regulate your nervous system, and equip you with concrete strategies to set boundaries, heal attachment wounds, and cultivate authentic connections.
Our initial session is designed to be a low-pressure, grounded space focused on getting to know you. We will review your background and discuss what brings you to therapy right now. Our primary goal is building safety, establishing rapport, and outlining what you hope to achieve. You set the pace, and together, we will start mapping out a collaborative roadmap tailored to your specific needs, values, and goals.
When you sit in session with me, you bring your full story—and I bring a unique blend of clinical expertise, deep personal empathy, and grounded calm. My greatest strengths lie in creating non-judgmental space, seeing past surface-level symptoms to address root relational patterns, and helping you build actionable strategies for boundaries and cycle-breaking. I don't expect you to have it all figured out, nor do I expect you to speak in clinical jargon. I offer a warm, transparent, and collaborative partnership where you are truly seen, heard, and supported as you step into your healing.
I am best positioned to serve adults, high-stress professionals, and families who are ready to break old patterns and heal relational wounds. My ideal clients often fall into three core areas: The Cycle-Breaker: You grew up in a complex or unpredictable family environment and find that old coping mechanisms—like people-pleasing, hyper-vigilance, or difficulty setting boundaries—are affecting your life and relationships today. The High-Stress Professional: You are a veteran, active-duty service member, or first responder holding the weight of operational trauma, moral injury, or burnout. You need a space where you don't have to water down your experience or explain the culture you live in. The Navigating Family: You are a foster or adoptive parent working through attachment and caregiving burnout, or an adult child managing the profound grief, dynamic shifts, and boundary needs that arise when caring for aging parents. If you are ready to drop the armor, understand your relational blueprint, and build a life grounded in healthy boundaries and genuine connection, we will be a great fit.

Life can bring up heavy thoughts and overwhelming emotions, and our natural instinct is often to fight them or push them away. Through Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I’ll help you change your relationship with these difficult experiences. Rather than letting uncomfortable feelings drive the steering wheel, we will focus on mindfulness, self-compassion, and clarifying your core values. Together, we’ll build practical skills so you can navigate life's challenges with resilience and make choices that align with the person you want to be.
In our work together, I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you understand the powerful connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. When we’re stressed or overwhelmed, it’s easy for unhelpful thought patterns to take over and dictate how we act and feel. CBT gives us a practical, evidence-based toolkit to examine these patterns, reframe self-limiting beliefs, and develop healthier coping strategies. My goal is to equip you with concrete skills so you feel empowered, in control, and confident navigating whatever challenges come your way.
If you feel torn between wanting to make a change and feeling hesitant about taking the leap, Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a gentle yet powerful tool to help you bridge that gap. I view therapy as a collaborative effort where you are the expert on your own life. Through MI, we will work together to draw out your personal strengths, resolve ambivalence, and transform your internal desire for growth into clear, self-directed action.
I utilize an eclectic therapeutic approach, which means I blend elements from different therapeutic models to create a personalized treatment plan for every client. Whether you need practical skill-building, space to process complex emotions, or guidance through a life transition, we will work collaboratively to find the tools and techniques that resonate most with you. You get a flexible, dynamic therapy experience built around your individual journey.
Many people who carry childhood trauma, dynamic family stress, or intense operational pressure live with a harsh inner critic and high self-doubt. CFT helps activate your self-soothing system, teaching you how to treat yourself with warmth and understanding rather than shame. We focus on building emotional safety, reducing self-criticism, and cultivating self-compassion as a cornerstone for deep healing.
